Hi All,
I was wondering if you could clarify something for me. I have a remote office which is a days drive away and I'm going to need to make some significant changes to it. Rather than drive all the way there to apply 10 mins worth of config (some of which will disconnect my remote access) is there a way that I can process the commands in a batch i.e. put the router into some kind of batch processing mode, type in the commands one after the other, then apply the commands in one operation.
From what I can see there are three way to do this
1) Put in the multiple commands separated with a semicolon on one line (I am unsure how many commands I can type in as one action)
2) Use Configuration Replace and Configuration Rollback (IIRC this requires a full working config to be built and placed in the flash for the swap over)
3) I was unsure if you could put all the commands into a text file, save it in flash and perform a copy flash:batchfile running-config.
Can anyone offer any insight into their experience doing such a thing?
Many Thanks,
Andy
