Laser levels monitoring on non-DOM SFPs

Hello.

Is there a way to monitor the laser levels (Tx, Rx) on non-DOM SFP equipped switch interfaces? I have tried sh int gigabitEthernet transceiver threshold table but this returns the expected values/thresholds, according to the SFP's manufacturer.

No.  There is no way to monitor (in real-time), the laser levels in non-DOM transcievers.  This is because DOM adds the required monitors

Is there a way to view the laser levels in non-real time? And if there's not, how could one see the reception/ transmission quality in terms of db?
