I'm unable to generate any syslog reports. an error is received when I see the collectot status
> Error
Collector Status is currently not available
Check Whether SyslogAnalyzer process is running normally
The following is the Analyzer status
Process= SyslogAnalyzer
State = Administrator has shut down this server
The syslog.log file receives the logs. The syslogCollector log indicates the following error,
Could not send syslogs, removing the subscriber...Connection refused: connect
NMSROOT is C:/PROGRA~1/CSCOpx propFileC:/PROGRA~1/CSCOpx\MDC\tomcat\webapps\rme\WEB-INF\classes\C:\PROGRA~1\CSCOpx\MDC\tomcat\webapps\rme\WEB-INF\classes\com\cisco\nm\rmeng\csc\data\Collector.properties
SyslogCollector - [Thread: main] INFO , 22 Dec 2009 15:20:00,046, Logging System Initialized.
SyslogCollector - [Thread: main] INFO , 22 Dec 2009 15:20:00,046, System Initialized.

SyslogCollector - [Thread: main] INFO , 22 Dec 2009 15:20:08,718, Service started...
Resubscring the Analyzer to the collector doesn't solve the issue.
When enabling the analyzer process manually, it throws an error
"Error: cmd failed. Server reason:"
can anybody help in fixing this?
Thanks in advance

Post a screenshot of your Services control panel showing all of the CiscoWorks services along with the output of the "hostname" command from a server DOS prompt.

Post the entire SyslogCollector.log, AnalyzerDebug.log, SyslogAnalyzer.log, and output of the command:
netstat -a -n -o -b

Ah, you're on Windows 2000. Post the output of "netstat -a -n" and the SyslogAnalyzer.log.

Hi Joe, Thanks for pointing it out. The service startup parameters were modified and after setting the same correctly, the jrm process came up and everything is fine now
