Hi,
we have changed the SNMP string in all the networking devices.
After changing the string one of our LMS server running with Cisco LMS 3.2 is not working properly.
LMS does not take new SNMP string-10 charcter. It is take OLD SNMP String- 8char.
In the same another LMS 3.2 takes SNMP string-10 charcter & working properly.
Please find the server details for your reference.
OS-Windows server 2003 SP 2
RAM-4GB
No of devices to be monitored-138
OLD SNMP String- 8char
New SNMP String-10 char
Please help us & know the exact root cause.
Regards
Akhil

You mean that your Ciscoworks 3.2 doesn't accept 10 Char ?
Did you Export Device credentials and find it 8 Char ?

If all the devices have a common string, or majority of them, please try to configure a new Credential Set with new string. You can create the new credential set from:
Common Service > Device and Credentials > Admin > Default Credential Sets
Later, just try to edit the device credentials and try to use the Credential Set you made to apply on devices and see if that works properly.
-Thanks
