Hi,
Can somebody please help / advice us concerning the installation of CW LMS 4.0.1 on Solaris 10!
The installation keeps on failing when it is checking for packages. Also the second time when we downloaded the software once more.
ERROR: AddProperty called with invalid package name: CSCOmd.
I have also attached the install log files.
If someone has an idea?
Thanks in advance.
Regards, Patrick

Hi,
Along with the required patches the minimum system level must be 11/06 release or higher.
Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, during preparation we checked the requirements:
LMS 4.0 supports the following Solaris 10 releases:
•Solaris 10, 10/09 release
•Solaris 10, 05/09 release
•Solaris 10, 10/08 release
•Solaris 10, 05/08 release
•Solaris 10, 08/07 release
•Solaris 10, 11/06 release
We have release 10/09 installed with the two required patches.
But I just checked and another doc states:
•Required Server Patches are 122032-05 and 127127-11
•Minimum system level must be 11/06 release or higher.
Thanks again and will try it with the 11/06 level.

Hi,
Just checked the requirements, but the 11/06 is from 2006. What we currently have is the 11/09 from 2009.
So this shouldn't be a problem as is states 11/06 or higher.
The issue is within the software package which we downloaded twice and copied in binary mode. But we keep on getting the same errors:
pkgparam: ERROR: unable to locate parameter information for "CSCOmd"
ERROR: AddProperty called with invalid package name: CSCOmd.
pkgadd: ERROR: bad entry read in contents file

Have you verified the checksum?

Hi,
Yesterday we downloaded the trial version, copied it in binary mode to the new server.
This morning we did the installation and there were no issues anymore. Also restored the backup from 3.2 and upgraded to 4.0.1.
Thanks for your time and effort!
Regards, Patrick
