Hi,

I try to upgrade LMS 4.2 to LMS 4.2.1 on a soft appliance and i got this error.

To upgrade from LMS 4.2 to LMS 4.2.1:

lms/admin# conf t

lms/admin(config)# repository myrepo

lms/admin(config-Repository)# url disk://opt

lms/admin(config-Repository)# end

lms/admin# application upgrade Cisco_Prime_LAN_Management_Solution_4_2_1upgrade.tar.gz myrepo

Save the ADE-OS running configuration?(yes/no) [yes]? yes

Generating configuration...

Saved the ADE-OS running configuration to startup successfully

Initiating Application Upgrade...

% Local file not found

lms/admin#

Any idea ?

Thank you

Michel

it mean that the file cannot be found.

Readme states:

Before creating repository copy the Cisco_Prime_LAN_Management_Solution_4_2_1.tar.gz to

local disk partition

please note LOCAL DISK partition !

So try copy your file to the correct location, and retry the process. also you may need to "chown" on the file, depends ...

FYI

I have this on mine installation;

LMS4/sysadmin# show running-config | b repo

repository app_repo

  url disk:

repository lms421

  url disk:

!

LMS4/sysadmin# dir

Directory of disk:/

  602468912 May 29 2012 01:06:54  Cisco_Prime_LAN_Management_Solution_4_2_1.tar.gz
      16384 Jul 18 2011 06:25:17  lost+found/
       4096 Jun 06 2012 09:54:01  patchtest/

           Usage for disk: filesystem
                  755847168 bytes total used
                 6950563840 bytes free
                 8125841408 bytes available

yours is on disk://opt/ - no go !
