LMS 4.2 VM issues

The error below appears soon after powering up the VM which has LMS installed, after which nothing further can be done on the system.

Anybody seen this before any hints on where to start troubleshooting.?

Where did you start? It looks like you've followed an invalid installation method. The soft appliance (.ova-based LMS 4.2 image) runs over the built-in ADE-OS (custom Linux variant from Cisco).

I'd advise recreating the VM, carefully following the steps in here.
