LMS2.2 Import status -Device att. errors ?

Hi

I have some 30 switches and AP's that every day come up in import status saying:

TACACS: No authentication configured

eventhough the device are perfectly accessable if I telnet into it and use the same TACACS credentials as LMS do.

Under HELP in LMS it says :

Device was not configured with authentication mechanism(Telnet/LocalUsername/TACACS). Essentials was able to telnet and log into the device successfully with out using the values entered in the database.

I have changed the attribute and it says OK.

The next day same thing happends !

Maybe I can help you troubleshoot this issue.

Do you have ciscoworks installed under UNIX or Windows.

What kind of tacacs server do you use?

What is the prompt that the switch returns after entering the username (is it password or is it PASSCODE)?

its a win32 server

I use Cisco Secure ACS 3.3 also on win32

Prompt is:

Username:

Password:

But I can telnet into the device with no problems, and log on them aswell, also with the ciscoworks user info entered.

The Userinfo is correct in RME databade, so I have verified by export to file and checked all usernames etc
