LMS4.0/LMS3.2 with IPV6

Hi,

I would like to have information about LMS with IPV6:

LMS 3.2:

- server/client connection works with IPV4 not with IPV6.

- Campus manager works with device with IPV6 interface and at least one IPv4 interface. Devices are managed using IPv4. see http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_campus_manager/5.2/user/guide_pb/ipv6.html

- UT can find IPV6 host.

My questions:

Do CS discovery, RME, DFM, IPM and HUM work with IPV6 or IPV4 to connect (snmp, ssh, telnet) to devices ?

How IPV6 works with LMS 4.0 ?

Mant thanks,

Elisabeth

Some of the CS Discovery modules work with IPv6 (see https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9005 for a detailed description of how Discovery works).  DFM does not currently support IPv6.  IPM and HUM support IPv6, but some of the collectors may not be configurable if you use IPv6 addresses for your target devices (depending on the collector and device code).  Newer code should support ICMP echo, TCP connect, UDP jitter, and UDP echo.

RME has more support for IPv6, and that is documented at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_resource_manager_essentials/4.3/user/guide/device.html#wp1741345 .

IPv6 support in LMS 4.0 is the same as with LMS 3.2.
