Hi Nks,
you sure you are using 3.0 ? or it is LMS 4.0 ?
Which authentication are you using TACACS+ or AAA ? Are you integrated with ACS.
LMS 4.0 no longer integrates with ACS the way that LMS 3.x did. You can still use ACS for authentication in LMS 4.0, but for authorization, each user must have a local account in LMS, and the roles will be assigned using LMS 4.0's new RBAC.
Users are defined under Admin > System > User Management > Local User Setup, and roles are defined under Admin > System > User Management > Role Management Setup. By default, if a user does not have an account in LMS, they will receive the Help Desk role (which explains why you may not see the portlets you expect).
create the same user in LMS and then try it..
Thanks-
Afroz

Try to regenerate the SSL certificate ::
To generate a new certificate in LMS
1. Stop the daemon Manager
a. Windows: net stop crmdmgtd
b. Solaris: /etc/init.d/dmgtd stop
1. Remove the following certificate files from (NMSROOT/MDC/Apache/conf/ssl)
a. server.crt
b. server.key
c. server.pk8
d. server.csr
2. Disable SSL: D:\Program Files\CSCOpx\bin>perl "D:\Program Files\CSCOpx\MDC\Apache\ConfigSSL.pl" -disable
3. Enable SSL to generate certificate: D:\Program Files\CSCOpx\bin>perl "D:\Program Files\CSCOpx\MDC\Apache\ConfigSSL.pl" -enable
4. Start Daemon Manager(net start crmdmgtd)
from GUI::
