Hi all,
I intend to do an inline upgrade of our PI system from 2.2.3 to 3.0. I downloaded the file PI-Upgrade-3.0.0.0.78.tar.gz.zip and made sure it matched the checksums stated on the download page and it did.
I then consulted the Cisco Prime Infrastructure 3.0 Quick Start Guide and there it is stated to extract the file PI-Upgrade-3.0.0.0.78.tar.gz from PI-Upgrade-3.0.0.0.78.tar.gz.zip and to compare the checksums from that page to the extracted file. Here now is the problem.
The checksums on the in the quick start guide are as follows:
MD5 Checksum: de091944 241812fe a5fe84e1 07731dba SHA512 Checksum: bad8c98a d7090a94 37e5250e 799f4781 b44a7f02 7851a061 8308163e 3339dbbd b16d27d8 1faed889 8b382157 998b1171 781b0fd6 9da2a787 81da3ce6 ee634650
The checksums I always get from the extracted file are as follows:
MD5 Checksum: 03446c34 f1a4ffd5 d445c070 ee17bfb9 SHA512 Checksum: c366ba3f 8740c4fa bef1bcdd e959710e 04cf7b68 fdafd44e 8ebd0855 88e9527e 1dac6f30 1125ad22 1f2ff94e c285d2da b5985080 a2eff713 41d60e1f d096917c
But as stated above the initial file I downloaded from Cisco has the same checksums I computed myself.
Has anyone here tried to do a successful inline upgrade, but also got the same checksums I have?
Could a cisco representative take a look into that and double check, if this might be a documentation bug?
Thanks!
Regards,
Patrick
