Missed calls - showing who the caller was originally calling

This is for Cisco IP Phone 7945

A few months ago this was working properly, and now it isn't.

We use a phone loop.  If someone calls my supervisor and he does not answer, it is forwarded to me.  If I don't answer, it shows that I have a missed call.  It used to be that when I checked the missed calls on my phone, it would show that the caller was originally calling my boss and not me.  If the person was calling me directly and I missed it, it would show that the caller was calling me.  Now, however, in either situation, it shows just a missed call directly to me.

My IT department contacted Cisco and was on the phone with them back and forth for quite a while.  Cisco was insisting that the feature never existed (where it would show that the caller was originally calling my supervisor and not me).  It was even escalated within Cisco.  I unfortunately have no proof of the fact that it used to show this extra information.  Many of us working for the company I'm working for are frustrated with this.  We now don't know if we should call the caller back or not.  It's even more frustrating basically being told we're lying.  As a side note, the last time our phone system was updated was a couple years ago, so it's not because of an update.

Has anyone else had this issue?  Could it please be fixed?  If any more information is needed, please feel free to email me at chantelatwell@semtribe.com.

Thank you.
