Hai,

I am using LMS 2.2 and RWAN1.3.1 on the same server.

Hardware config: 2 GB (1.4 GHZ) dual processor, 2 GB RAM.

Software config : windows 2000 server service pack 4.

IE 6.0 sp1.

But when i try to open it takes a long time to open for even the login screen.

And moreover when i try to open topology services it almost taking 5 to 10 minutes.

But with the same h/w and s/w config on another location it is working fine and opening Topology services within 10 seconds.

I can't able to find this strange behaviour.

All application are very slow. Even when i click the navigator plane it is taking one minute to display in the right hand screen.

All are working fine but taking time what may be the reason.

Even i cleared the java console cache and restarted even after the same problem persists.

Please suggest me what may be the problem This is an urgent one.

Kindly help

hi Vishwam...

ur h/w s/w config seems perfect..it may be due to a java plug in issue...

try this,go to internet explorer->tools->internet options->advanced and uncheck the option 'use Java 2 V1.4.1' restart all the browser windows...go to control panel dble click java plug in 1.3.1 icon and in advanced tab and see whether use default plug in is enabled,or u r using some other versions, try with default plug in..

regards

Hai shiju,

First htanks for your quick reply. I done as u told but still it persist.

Whereas i am having another NMS server which having same replica but in that that use java1.4.02 is checked and working fine.

In both the servers Java console in control panel using default java plugin.

What may be the other problem.

Please suggest.

Do I understand that you are trying to access the server locally (running Internet Explorere client on the server)? If so, are you using the DNS name or IP address of the server (not 'localhost') in the address bar? If you aren't, try doing so.

Other than that, I'd just check Windows Task Manager and see if any processes are taking up an inordinate amound of CPU or memory.

Standard procedure would be to make sure your version of CiscoWorks is fully up to date with maintenance patches and IDUs (Incremental Device Updates).

also check that name resolution is working properly on the server (i.e. you have the correct dns server set up)
