Hello support,

we are facing an issue with the NAM3.

Version: 5.1(2-patch4)

we can not login using the GUI. when we try to login we are getting the following warning.

Initializing database.  Please wait until initialization process finishes.(see attachment)

we have rebooted the NAM3 module but the issue is not solved. the NAM3 module is running on 6500 Series Switch.(Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Network Analysis Module (NAM-3))

please advice!

Can you try disabling the http and enable http again from the CLI on the nam?

(ip http server disable and ip http server enable)

If the problem persists, post the show tech from NAM itself..

Hi there,

First problem please reconfigure your TACACS+ settings on the NAM as you have defined the NAM's ip address for TACACS+ ip.

IP address:             10.x.x.x

TACACS+ primary server: 10.x.x.x

Second problem, lots of I/O error when trying to read from /storage partition on the NAM which is the HD for /sda. It's reporting Input/Output errors reading files and so I suspect you have some sort of file system corruption.  Suggestion is to try resetting the nam  hdd and re-imaging it to see if its just a software corruption. If not, its most likely a hardware issue and you will need to RMA the NAM through TAC.

yes! I have formatted thee HDD and I have installed the image again. the NAM is working properly right now!
