netconfig

I'm trying to add and delete syslog and tacacs servers via netconfig . All of the tacacs server info fails even though I have used the templates for this . As you look at why the job failed it appears that Ciscoworks is not putting the router in the correct mode to enter the commands needed by the program , instead of being in config mode it appears to stay at the enable prompt instead of being at the config prompt. Anyone else seen this or know of any bugs that might do this . I can probably adhoc the commands but I am trying to avoid that if possible.

Whet LMS or RME version do you use?

If heard this sort of behaviour can occur when the prompts > and # are changed

Can this be the case?

Cheers,

Michel

RME 3.5 , not sure what you mean by the prompts . It is a router and nothing like that has been changed. Below is what the program failure looks like with the names and addresses changed out.

Total number of devices = 1

<<< Update Failed (1) >>>

*** Device Details for xxxxxxxc-r***Transport==>Telnet***

The prompts don't seem to be the problem here.

Can you see that when you do a sh ver on the device that it is the same type of device as ciscoworks thinks it is?

Cheers,
