Hi,
I am trying to configure netwflow monitoring on a Cisco 887 router. I want to be able to report on the traffic that passes through the Dialer1 interface.
So far I can only see traffic that goes OUT of the Dialer1 interface, I can't see traffic that goes IN. I'm not sure why I can't see Inbound traffic.
Current Netflow Configuration on 887;
interface Dialer1
bandwidth 24576
ip unnumbered Loopback0
no ip redirects
no ip unreachables
no ip proxy-arp
ip flow ingress
ip flow egress
encapsulation ppp
no ip route-cache cef
dialer pool 1
ppp authentication chap callin
ppp chap hostname xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
ppp chap password 7 xxxxxxxxxxxxx
no cdp enable
!
hold-queue 224 in
end
!
ip flow-cache timeout active 1
ip flow-export source Loopback0
ip flow-export version 5
ip flow-export destination 10.10.70.11 9996
Output of 'sh ip flow int'
Dialer1
ip route-cache flow
ip flow ingress
ip flow egress
Does anyone know why I can't see the IN traffic for interface Dialer1?
Thanks,
Paul

Previously I found that I needed to have cef enabled for flows to come through on our Cisco 877's.

Hi Scott,
That did it. I enabled 'ip route-cache cef' and started to see IN traffic for the interface.
Thanks for you help,
Paul
