Netflow on C3750-24TS EMI

Hello,

I have 2 stacked 3750 EMI 12.2.25sea

Ip route cache-flow and other netflow stuff is available, but doesn't work.

Will it be available in future releases ?

There is no support for netflow on the 3750 due to hardware limitations. There are talks of having it available on the 3750ME or metro box

So, why are these ios commands allowed ?

Is there another way to get statistics about level 7 traffic ?

Hi,

There is an appendix in the configuration guide which contains the following:

"This appendix lists some of the CLI commands that appear when you enter the question mark (?) at the Catalyst 3750 switch prompt but are not supported in this release, either because they are not tested or because of Catalyst 3750 hardware limitations. This is not a complete list."

If you need to know what traffic crosses the switch you either need to use a boundary device to collect it, or replace the switch with something which supports netflow (such as a 4948 switch).

The current versions of the 3750 will never support netflow because they don't have the necessary hardware support - some future version may support it if the hardware changes.
