I went to start my Network assistant and got this error.
Network Assistant error Could not create Java Virtual machine
Any ideas?

Right after I posted this I found the same answer you did. I have it up and running now. Just trying to figure out why one of my ports is not active. I have a Cisco 2960x 24PS-L. Port 8 has no activity light at all.

hmm that's odd only 1 port not working , it is working outside of the assistant ok yes if your actually consoled into the switch and connect something to the port
I see another post with similar issues but it says there were known bugs but they should have been fixed in 6.3 are you using that version now ?

honestly the CNA does seem a bit buggy , I don't use it personally but there seems to be a lot of posts with issues relating to it software not working correctly
