Dear All,
Currently we have 2 NTP peers (acting as server for rest of Network devices) and their ref clock is from NTP master (Hardware).
NTP PEER#1 runs on 12.x IOS
NTP PEER#2 runs on 15.x IOS
configuration on peers looks like
ntp access-group peer 5
ntp acces-group serve 6
ACL 5 has ip address for peers and 6 has rest of network devices IP. (confirmed reachabilty between all devices)
On clients, the configuration is
ntp server peer#1
ntp server peer#2
On all clients (3750,6500 and routers) we can see the PEER#1 is synced and getting their time from it but PEER#2 is insane and startum is 16.
When we checked on PEER#2, show ntp packets, it shows NTP bad version packets are increasing.
