I have a 4110 Chassis with FTD logical device connected with a Nexus 9k directly via point to point. When i try to ping 500 count from FW to Nexus with the default packet size there is no drop .. but when i increase the packet size .. say 1000 or 1400 i am observing 5 percent packet loss constantly.. i have checked the interface parameters and they are similar at both ends...i read somewhere that ping is not a good test to determine stability ..and it is natural to get packet drops.. is this true ? if yes then is it limited to only a few devices because from the same Firewall i have a transit towards ACI fabric but i am not getting any packet drops between the two.
