polling OID on 3750 in order to retrieve power details (main or redundant)

Hi,

We have catalyst 3750 switches with redundant power supply (RPS) 675.

We intend to monitor when the power switches from the main power to the RPS 675. The aim is to know if the 3750 is runing under "built-in POWER" or under "redundant POWER".

According to the release notes, the RPS doesn't send trap or any other kind of messages.

It seems the only way is from the 3750 to send SNMP trap or to request by SNMP an OID that would give the state of the power and wether the RPS to be activ or not.

Do you confirm ?

Do you know the MIB to be used and the OID to target ?

I've downloaded on cisco FTP site the mib "CISCO-ENVMON-MIB-V1SMI.my". I guess it should be the right.

The 3750 are in version 12.2(25)SEE2.

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Best Regards,

Arnaud

You can poll the ciscoEnvMonSupplyStatusTable from the CISCO-ENVMON-MIB (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.5) to see all your PS statuses.
