Prime 3.0.2 Unable to install pi_technology_package-3.0.2-1.0.53.ubf

Tech_pack is shown as installable, but installation stops with error, manual upload is also not working.

Errormessage:

This error is often caused by discrepancies between what is downloaded and the attributes of the files which were expected. Reason: VALIDATION_FAILURE

Errormessage maual upload:

Patch group id pi331_UBER_UPDATE(V:1.0.0) of current ubf is already existing in uploaded ubfs. Upload is not allowed.

Is there a workaround for this, or is the package itself not working?

All patches and packages were installed before without any issues.

More than a few people have been having trouble with this tech pack. There's a thread on the Wireless Security and Network Management forum following its woes:

Personally I've got it running on both a lab and production deployment; but if you're encountering issues, I'd suggest opening a TAC case.

So, we opened a TAC-Case and Cisco told us, that it's not necessary to install the .53, as it contains the same content as in .51 but with some cosmetic corrections.

Seems tech pack v .53 has been defered as well ? Can't find it within software update on PI 3.0.2 or on CCO ?

We have a WLC running 8.2.100 and we cannot do a complete add to Pi 3.0.2  ( complains on http/https credentials, ssh, snmp is fine ), In the release notes it seems we need the tech pack to restore full compability with 8.2 ..  any news when it will be re-released ?

Tech pack v56 is online and installation was successfull this time.

Hi ,

it looks like you have  e\already installed Tech Pack 2 and is trying to reinstall a rebuild of Tech Pack 2 on top of itself.    you doesn't  Need to install the .53 build, he already has the .51 build installed.

this is an expected error.

Hi Pam, 

We are currently providing feedbacks and updates on this thread HERE.

Please raise a TAC Case.  TAC Engineers &/or developers might have to WebEx into your PI and do some commands just to get it working.  Otherwise, it's a complete re-build of PI.  

If & when you have to do a complete rebuild, please DO NOT INSTALL Tech Pack 1.0.0.  Check the thread posted above (and by Marvin, below) for any updates after this.
