Prime Infrastructure 3.0 - Incremental backups?

Is it possible to create and schedule incremental backups for PI 3.0 to reduce size of backups?

There's no incremental back up option with prime they are full application or appliance backups

Is Prime 3.1 limited to 7 backups before it expunges the oldest one, in spite of having 1.9 terrabytes and an average backup of 4 gig.

How can I get around this quirk?
