problem with remote login

we use putty to login catalyst 3550. one of the switches recently doesnt let me login. this is the info given by putty:

"connection refused"

the user on the switch work fine.

what is the possible problem?

To my understanding still u r not able to login via ssh.

I had a similar problem ....

In my case it was login local at line 0 4 but just login for line 5 15 ...after changing to login local i was able to login via ssh in the created username.

Do u have aaa authentication...if not give login local at line 0 15..then try to login via ssh ....Prior u have to check u r local username
