X being a variable, EoX stands for both the acronyms: EoL (end of life) and EoS (end of sale) .

End of Sales - product no longer sold by Cisco

End of Engineering - bug fixes and enhancements no longer developed or released

End of Life - no more warranty support (Technical Assistance Center (TAC) support and Return Material Authorization (RMA) for failed equipment) available, existing support contracts are completed by this date.
