QOS and Storage

We have a HP nas/san solution that needs dedicated bandwidth. What is the best way to assure that the replication traffic has priority on the link. We have a DS3 connected via 2 3640 routers with a T-1 as backup. My initial thought was to configure a route-map.

Please help!

Hi

i would suggest u to go with QOS i.e., CBWFQ which is most widely deployed and working fine in most of the production network (which i have seen).

just create different policies based on ur applications or requirements between ur locations.

give more priority or allocate enough B/W under the particular class so that ur mainline application dont get affected.

After cofigurin the classes do create policy maps and bind them under the T-1 interface..

if u still require any info do revert ..
