Friends, good night, I hope you are in good health. I want to make an inquiry: In the syslog configuration in a Router or in a SWITCH, in the TRAPS part, I can put more than one TRAPS level, for example from 2 to 6, from 1 to 5, etc. Expect your news. Regards. Fernando.

Hi there,
You cannot specify a range value for the severity level. The number you specify is an upper bound on an implicit range to zero: x - 0
cheers,
Seb.

Good afternoon SEB, thank you very much for your reply. Let me make another query, on ISR2 router, I want to change UDP port from 514 to 518, this because I want to direct SYSLOG messages to a server, and this server uses UDP port 518. Can you help me? Thank you.

HI there,
The following command is the one to use:
! logging host <ip_address> transport <udp/tcp> port <xxx> !
It is IOS version dependent though, what version are you running? We can check the configuration guide for a reference.
cheers,
Seb.
