Reboot or not - WS-C4507R up for six years

Hello.

I have a tow pairs of WS-C4507R devices at two data centres.  Both pairs have been up for almost six years.

uptime is 5 years, 38 weeks, 4 days, 10 hours, 54 minutes

It's challenging to coordinate a downtime in that environment and so far switches have been running no issues.

So the ultimate question:  reboot or not?

Thanks.

There are so many reasons not to and probably enough reasons to.

I would reboot them regularly because:

1.  Sometimes, something gets "stuck" and a reboot fixes it;

2.  A good time to upgrade the IOS to something else;

3.  Confirm access port redundancy; and

4.  Confirm hardware redundancy.
