Receiving RPC server not available error

Hello,

I am fairly new to networking. We have a file share on our server for users to borrow software licenses from. While 1/2 of our users are able to connect without error, the other 1/2 is finding they are coming up with the error "RPC server not available" 

I'm baffled as to why this is working for only half the users? Do anyone have any suggestions as to what I should be looking into?

how is your network, what kind of network, you have any topology ?

what is the difference between working and not working? are they the same IP range, connected to the same network device?
