I am unable to get the RME to download the configs from any device that has tacas authentication, I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem or if there is a work around to this issue.

According to the help doc the prompt "PASSCODE" is not accept as a valid prompt for RME 4.0.

Any help on this would be appreciated

I'm having this same problem too. I looked at the link you referenced, and all I can find is....

A. The supported device prompts are:

The supported Device authentication prompts are:

•Routers

"Username:", "Username: "

"Password:", "Password: "

•Switches

"username: ", "Username: "

"password: ", "Password: "

•Cisco Interfaces and Modules — Network Analysis Modules

"Password: " "password: "

•Security and VPN — PIX

"username: ", "Username: "

"passwd: ", "password: ", "Password: "

•Content Networking—Content Service Switch

"Username: ", "username: ", "login: ","Username:" , "username:" , "login:"

"Password: ", "password: ", "passwd: ","Password:" , "password:" , "passwd:"

•Content Networking — Content Engine

"Username: " ,"login: "

"Password: "

•Storage Networking — MDS Devices

"Username:", "Username: "

"Password:", "Password: "

Does anyone know how you can add additional checks like, "Username:", "PASSCODE:" ???

I have tried to do the same. Cisco TAC told me it was not possible to do this anymore!! you have to wait untill to july when the service pack is released. nice feature!?

I would not count on the service pack fixing the passcode issue

CSCsa88849 Bug Details

Symptom:

Certain applications within Resource Manager Essentials (such as Netconfig, Config Editor and Configuration Archive) may fail to telnet to devices that are configured to use tacacs.

Conditions:

This happens when the tacacs server presents a prompt such as:

enter PASSCODE

Workaround:

Change the tacacs server prompt to:

enter password:

I managed to change the prompt and it works.
