RME Config Collection generating config change

jwright

RME Version 4.3.2.  My config collection jobs for archive management are generating the following syslog:

2011 Sep 26 12:06:57 EST -04:00 %SYS-6-CFG_CHG:Global block changed by SNMP/10.x.x.x (This is the address of LMS)

What changes are being made during the polling and collection jobs?

It only seems to occur on CATOS devices.

Hi,

I suspect you are using tftp for config fetch. Am I right? In this case, when RME tries to retrieve the config, it set the following oid from  Cisco Stack MIB :

  • 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.1 - tftpHost
  • 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.2 - tftpFile
  • 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.3 - tftpModule
  • 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.5.4 - tftpAction

These MIB values are only set when using TFTP transport method

Best regards,

Svetlana
