Hi all,
apart from exporting a device's config to the default export directory (C:\CSCOpx\files\rme\dcma\configexport) how can I view a config with no hidden fields? e.g. operators require a full config to enable a rebuild. On-screen has password / SNMP strings hidden.
thanks,
marty.

Not like you see it in the shadow directory. However, by using Config Editor, you can bring up a configuration, and all of the credential fields will be hyperlinked. When you click on the link, you will get a popup that shows you the cleartext value of the credential.

The latest version of each device's configuration can be found unaltered in NMSROOT\files\rme\dcma\shadow. Files in this directory are indexed by device name.

Hi Joe - but is there a way for a remote operator with no server access to view a config online with no hidden fields? Seems not.
thanks,
Marty.
