Cisco switches do not support the RMON capture group.  You will need a switch probe or Network Analysis Module for this.

When you say traffic tracking, do you just want to get a count of bytes switched through the interface, or are you looking for a more detailed breakdown of traffic?

Hi  Joseph,

Thanks for your response.

I just want to find out the top talkers to one of server.I want to capture the traffic coming in and out of the interface.

I came to know that RMON is not capable of getting the same result. So i am thinking of Netflow OR RSPAN.

Do you have any suggetions?

Thanks & Regards

Manish

NetFlow or SPAN would both work provided you have a collector that can analyze the data.  As I said, the Network Analysis Module, which is an appliance, Cat6K module, or ISR module can process NetFlow data (as well as act as a SPAN destination).
