root acces to cisco SSMS Smart Software Manager satellite classic

Hi,

some end customers search the "root" password for access to  cisco SSMS.

it's not the same as "admin" password.

they want this password of user "root", for backup the VM with there vmware and for supervision server.

some body have this password?

root login is disabled.

you need to login as admin and then you can sudo <command>

on-prem userguide has a howto on backup.

as admin you can start

$ onprem-console
database_backup
