I don't know if I am posting in the right section, so forgive me if I am not!
I am using an RV320 to connect the systems at two locations over a VPN. It was working just fine for months, then the internet became slow, the connection became shady, connecting then disconnecting, then it just went out completely.
We contacted the ISP, they replaced the modem, and it worked for a few weeks, then just went dead again. They replaced the modem a third time, and now the RV320 will no longer connect through PPPoE. The modem has been the same model all throughout and the wires/config on the RV320 have not been changed.
The modem connects from LAN 1(modem side) to WAN1(RV320). The internet works when in "Obtain IP automatically" but when using the same login credentials as the modem on the RV320 in PPPoE, the connection goes dead.
I am not sure what information is relevant but in the logs it seems to connect for a minute or so, then disconnect and reconnect again. Also the following 3 lines are repeated in the incomming log table:
2020-01-13, 11:35:02 | Kernel | kernel: i2c i2c-0: Failed to register i2c client rs5c372b at 0x32 (-16) |
2020-01-13, 11:35:02 | Kernel | kernel: i2c i2c-0: Can't create device at 0x32 |
2020-01-13, 11:35:02 | Kernel | kernel: gre: can't add protocol |
Any help you guys can offer would be appreciated. Let me know if any critical info is missing that would help solve this!
Thanks!
