snmp configuration

Please explain why "sh run" output displays snmp community as <removed>

example:

"snmp-server community <removed> RO"

is this a security feature?

if so how is it enabled?

or

does it mean there is no community string configured?

Show run should show you the community string. Show tech, on the other hand, will display instead of the actual string.
