SNMP file

We run a CW2000. Normally I enter the IP, SNMP values via the gui (option > SNMP Configuration). I am looking of the the file it saves it to, so a script can be written to write to it, and not via the gui.

Does anybody know the file name & directory it resides in.

Regards

Managed device credentials are stored in a database. Depending on which version of CiscoWorks you have, that database will be different. There are ways to get the credentials in a flat file using both CLI and GUI utilities, but it depends on the version of CiscoWorks as to what those utilities will be.

Credentials used by Campus Manager discovery are stored in a flat file. This file is NMSROOT/campus/etc/cwsi/discoverysnmp.conf under LMS 2.5+ and NMSROOT/campus/etc/cwsi/anisnmp.conf under LMS < 2.5.

Thank you for your reply.

We are running Openview 6.41 on a sun os5.8 not CW2000, sorry.

I have looked can't find either files.
