snmp-server input queue set to 1 in new IOS?

Just a heads-up if other people look for a solution to this.

Installed new IOS version 15.8(3)M2a to an IR809 router, and when adding it to the NMS I started to get these messages:

%SNMP-3-INPUT_QFULL_ERR: Packet dropped due to input queue full

Found some other logs like this with Google but they did not help this problem, including restarting the snmp server.

But according to one bug report the snmp input queue was 1000, but that this was not a configurable setting.

I did the "show snmp" and found this on the bottom:

SNMP Engine:
queue 0/1 (current/max), 57 dropped

Max is 1?

I went into configuration and tabbed myself to this command:

snmp-server queue-limit engine 1000

So it seems like it is configurable now, and default was 1 (the range in the command was from 1 to 1000).

The "show snmp" now shows:

SNMP Engine:
queue 0/1000 (current/max), 57 dropped

And I have no more of the input queue full logs.

Roger
