SNMPSET command not working Nexus 7700

I am trying to get issue CLI commands to running-config using the "snmpset" command.  The command below appears to take just fine, but the commands are not reflected in the running-config.  The SNMP RW string I'm using has vdc-admin rights, so I'm not sure why the commands do not take.  The command uses a config file (9.0.46.30) on the server I'm accessing the device with.  I don't think it's the command so much as there seems to be an issue with the device setup itself.  It's a Nexus sub-vdc.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm pulling my hair out.

I am having the same problem on Catalyst 3650 switches (IOS=cat3k_caa-universalk9.SPA.03.06.01.E.152-2.E1.bin). Any workaround/fix?
