Hi, I am attempting to import an image (cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.05.01.E.152-1.E1.bin) both from Cisco.com as well as from a server. Both instances fail with the message
Checking if image is present in the library...

Check whether it is supported by Software Management.
I tried another image import and it failed as well. Has anyone else come across this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi ,
Software Images distribution is not supported for this type of device .
Check the below documentation, search for the sysObjectID of the device in question:
1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1605
-
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/4-2/devic
e_support/table/lms42sdt.html
As you can see the device is supported in LMS but the following features are NOT:
* VRF Lite, LANE Management
* Software Image Types for Distribution: System Software, Bootloader, CIP2, Mica Modem
Firmware, Microcom Modem Firmware
* Configuration Deploy Protocols: HTTPS
* Configuration Fetch Protocols: HTTPS
* Upgrade Analysis from: Cisco.com, Repository
Thanks-
Afroz

Hi Afroj, Thank you for your reply. I have been able to import and distribute images for these devices in the past so it's strange that I cannot now. I have a TAC case open and was told I'm hitting a bug CSCup71845. I upgraded to 4.2.5 and now need to apply LibSwim.RME525.v2-13-1.zip & SharedDcmaIOS.RME525.v5-1-2.zip and SharedSwimIOS.RME525.v2-13-3 device packages. I hate to be doing all of this in vain if that will not fix my issue.

Hi Margaret,
This is as per the documentation .
Please do share the resolution from TAC so that It will help others ,if it works
Thanks-
Afroz

The following did resolve my issue
The bug is fixed in the one of the latest device packages for LMS, SharedSwimIOS.RME525.v2-13-3. The release notes for it is here: http://www.cisco.com/web/software/283418817/118429/SharedSwimIOS.RME525.v2-13-3.readme.txt
Before applying that device package update, the following prerequisites need to be met:
- LMS 4.2.5
- MDF 1.92 (or higher) update : https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=284259296&flowid=37207&softwareid=283716219&release=Mdf.%201.92&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
- LibSwim.RME525.v2-13-1.zip & SharedDcmaIOS.RME525.v5-1-2.zip device packages already installed. Those two files and the SharedSwimIOS.RME525.v2-13-3 file can be found here: https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=284259296&flowid=37207&softwareid=283418817&release=AutoDev%285.8%29&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest
