A 3560 running c3560-advipservicesk9-mz.122-44.SE2.bin recently began allocating more memory than it has to several processes. Accompanying this change was the beginning of a steadily increasing amount of Processor Pool RAM being used. No configuration changes have taken place since the behavior began, but the switch was upgraded from c3560-ipservices-mz.122-25.SEB2 a few days before I noticed the change. I figured I'd see if anyone else has encountered this behavior before incurring downtime by rolling back to the older IOS.
The "Normal" file shows its normal sh proc mem sort output.
The "Now" file shows its current output.
The "alloc" file shows the three processes that have suddenly been given much larger allocations.

Yes, memory allocation has gone berzerk. Since my last post the total allocated processor memory in a switch with 128MB of ram has climbed upwards of 8 Gigs. Time to rollback I think.
