When upgrading NAMS via ciscoworks, does ciscoworks telnet via the chassis or directly to the module.
The problem i have is that you dont seem to be able to telnet directly to the NAM. But you can connect via sess slot command
Ciscoworks is configured with the local username and passwood that allows access via the sess command but shows it as incorrect. Can't work this out.
Any help would be appreciated

It connects directly to the NAM. Telnet is disabled by default on the NAM CLI. To enable it, session into the NAM and run 'exsession on' to enable it. Also refer to this tech note on how to use RME to upgrade the NAM: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps2073/products_configuration_example09186a00801d44a9.shtml

Can you lock down telnet access to CLI via ACS and if so, how is this achieved

Unfortunately, ACS cannot be used for the NAM CLI login, only for the web accounts.
