Syslog and Alert and Activities

Hi all,

Just found out that Syslog on RME does not reflect on Alerts and Activities. Is there a way that if there is a syslog message on RME can also be viewed or alerted on DFM?

The syslog i have is SLOS with a warning severity, but this SLOS does not show on DFM.

Only traps are used in DFM.

So unless you can get the device to send a trap for tis event DFM will not notice it.

DFM polling may detect it bu I'm not sure what DFM polls exactly.

If you use Syslog Automated Action you could still be alerted for Syslog messages (just not via DFM).

You could set it up for something like email notification when a certain syslog is received.
