Hi,
I have LMS 2.6 and we have configured syslog in our 100 devices for sending syslog messages to the LMS.
Now we want to configure CiscoWorks for sending mails when a VLAN or a trunk interface goes down or up, but not any interface, only vlan or trunks.
How could we do it?
Thank you very much.

There is no way to do this unless you want to create Automated Actions for each device, and match on a known list of VLAN/trunk port interfaces.
That said, assuming your switches are running recent enough code, you could use the Embedded Event Manager to do this directly from the device.

For Vlan updowns only:
Facility : LINK
Sub-facility : *
Severity : *
Mnemonic : UPDOWN
Description : Interface Vlan*changed state to*

Thanks but the pattern "vlan" never appears in the syslog messages, always "GigabitEthernet..." or "FastEthernet...".

Actually, the IOS would create syslog messages if "logging link-status" is configured under each VLAN interface, or globally.
