TACACS server - password recovery

I don't know the username/password of the TACACS server.
Is it possible to recover the username/password and how do I do this ??

Is it an appliance or server ?
If its the server version you can log into the console (either physical or terminal services), pull up a browser, and see if you can log in via http://127.0.0.1:2002 . If the server session policy has the "allow automatic local login" checked you will be logged in via the loopback without a password.

Sorry for a question , If after i done the password recovery . The config for the Tacas and tech-support log will be lost ?
