Tagging and Untagging 2 VLANs on the same port.

Hello,

Let me preface my question with: I am no networking admin. At all.

My system is a live entertainment system. I have a "controller" going to a 200 series switch, going to an SFP switch, then into several different switches over fiber.

I want to basically split the port that the controller is on to send a VLAN (VLAN1) to most of the network, and another to 2 specific switches (in which VLAN2 is default and tagged on the two SFP ports), in order to cut down on the traffic as we're experiencing some lag in our system with so much multicast.

I have been successful in setting it all up and getting it to work, but only if I setup two separate ports on each respective VLAN and physically move the copper from one to another. But of course..It seems that I can only get one or the other, and never both.

Is there a way to tag and and/or untag the "controller" port to basically split it between the two VLANs?
