I have an issue with remote access to one of our c3560 devices.
VTY lines are configured to use Telnet and and aaa model for authentication. Once i try to connect to the device after few seconds it displays %Authentication Failed, without even displaying user prompt.
Config looks something like this:
aaa authentication login vty group tacacs+ line
line vty 0 4
exec-timeout 60 0
logging synchronous
login authentication vty
length 0
transport input telnet
line vty 5 15
exec-timeout 60 0
login authentication vty
transport input telnet

I've mentioned above that this software does not give me an option to configure Tacacs per vrf.
Neither of the commands below are available:
ip vrf forwarding (in aaa group server)
nor
tserver-tacacs host ip vrf

Hi,
Too late to the party but if you are connected but not getting prompt, please check the vty speed. If you are consoling to a Cisco router , you need to change your vty port speed to 115200. This can be one of the reason.
Thanks
