Upgrade license validation for RME and DFM

Dear Forum members,

I've installed the follow CW product on a fresh machine:

Product Name : CWLMS-2.5-URUP-K9

Product Description : LMS 1.x, RWAN 1.x, Upg to LMS 2.5.1 UR - Rev Dec05

Well, my customer has bought an uncounted permanent license:

INCREMENT RME cisco 4.0 permanent uncounted

INCREMENT DFM cisco 2.0 permanent uncounted

INCREMENT IPM cisco 2.6 permanent uncounted

INCREMENT CM cisco 4.0 permanent uncounted

In this case, I've to run DFM and RME validation script however?

Thanks

Leonardo

Yes, you have to.

The value 'permanent' states it is not an eval (restricted to 90 days), 'uncounted' means the DCR is not restricted to 300 devices;

and the validate upgrade script tests if you have had the right to purchase the upgrade (which in fact is a full version). It does this by forcing you to present either the 'old' CDs or a running server.

Are you getting a pop up saying that your copy will expire in 90 days? If you do then you need to run the script, if not, then you don't need to.
