UPGRADING THE IMAGE ON 6509 SWITCH USING CISCO WORKS.

We have running "s72033-jk9sv-mz.122-18.SXD.bin" on WS-SUP-720,on 6509 swithch we are planning to upgrade the I.O.S with the new image "S72033-JK9SV-MZ.11 18.SXT7.bin"

we are using CiscoWorks 2.5 without any Service Pack.

My question, is there any Possibility to upgrade the above image using CiscoWorks, Image Distribution???

please let me know if we need to upgrad Service Pack, and the sequence of upgrading the service pack.

Yes, It's possible. If you are using cisco works 2000 it seems to have an issue upgrading to Disk0 possibly due t oa bug

It is possible to upgrade the above device using swim without adding any new service packs to LMS 2.5.

However, it is a good idea to add these service packs in the future for new device support and bug fixes.
