I'm running CiscoWorks LMS 2.2 for Windows, in an environment of mostly Windows 2K, Cisco Registrar DHCP and Catalyst 6509 w/ MSFC. I've used the MSFC as the seed device (didn't work when I used the core switch) and still can't get MAC to IP addresses on User Tracking. None of the W2K workstations have UtLite loaded on them. Is this a hard requirement?
I've been working this issue on and off for a year since install. Can someone PLEASE help me with this?

Hi Diana,
Here's a link that explains how the ANI Discovery works and how to troubleshoot the ANI discovery that Campus Manager and User Tracking both use.

You will need to be able to reach the router for your subnet(s) with Ciscoworks in order to pull down the ARP table and associate an IP with a MAC. If your MSFC is the router then this should work. If you cannot reach the router for your networks then you will not be able to get the IPs to resolve.
